Today, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Mandy Cohen announced that the state government would begin verifying vaccination status of its workers, including those who work for cabinet agencies. Employees not vaccinated are required to wear a mask and be tested at least once a week. Health & Human Services’ updated guidance encourages private sector businesses to, at a minimum, verify vaccination status for their workers, as well.

GALESBURG The Galesburg Community Foundation announced the opening of the 2021 Turnout Grant Cycle.
The format of the 2021 Turnout Grant Cycle is different from previous years due to COVID-19 and offers a more focused and streamlined process for local nonprofits to apply. The Turnout Grant Cycle is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit or public charities, including churches, schools and government agencies serving Knox and Warren counties.
Organizations should note the changes to this year’s Turnout Grant Cycle, including that they can apply for capacity, general operating or programmatic dollars for use in 2021. This year’s Turnout will be online only with no in-person presentations a short video as detailed in the application is required to apply.
