WEST VALLEY CITY The owner of two massage parlors in Salt Lake County has been charged with operating prostitution businesses.
Jian Rong Long, 48, of Salt Lake City, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with three counts of money laundering, a second-degree felony; two counts of exploiting prostitution, a third-degree felony; and three counts of prostitution, a class B misdemeanor.
Long is the owner of Health Massage, 3411 Redwood Road, and Swan Spa, 1465 S. State, according to court records.
The investigation began in 2019 when a man reported to police that he had gone to the business to get a massage on an injured arm, but the woman giving him the massage asked if he wanted his genitals touched, according to the charging documents. She told the man he would have to pay her extra to do that, or pay her a little less not to touch him, the charges state.

WEST VALLEY CITY â The owner of two Salt Lake County massage parlors was charged with prostitution after a nearly 18-month investigation.
Jian Rong Long, 48, was charged Wednesday with two counts of exploiting prostitution, three counts of prostitution, and three counts of money laundering.
In court documents, law enforcement officials say a male reported an incident that occurred in Sept. 2019 at Health Massage, a West Valley City business owned by Long. According to the man, while getting a massage for an injured arm, the female masseuse asked if he wanted his genitals massaged for an additional charge.
