Frankreich: Impfpflicht im Gesundheitswesen

Die Nationalversammlung verabschiedete ein Gesetz zur Impfpflicht von Mitarbeitern im Gesundheitswesen. Auch Feuerwehrleute und andere Rettungskräfte sind davon betroffen. Wenn Mitarbeiter im Gesundheitswesen eine Corona-Schutzimpfung verweigern, wird ihr Gehalt ausgesetzt.
Das Gesetz sieht auch vor, den sogenannten Gesundheitspass auszuweiten. Ab August muss man auch in Restaurants und Fernzügen einen negativen Test vorweisen, wenn man nicht gegen das Corona-Virus geimpft oder genesen ist.
Am Wochenende hatten mehr als 160.000 Menschen in Paris gegen die geplanten verschärften Regeln protestiert.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed Thursday 13 new deaths and 2,767 new cases of COVID-19 countywide, with 29,192 total cases in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Los Angeles County continues to see a rapid rise in COVID-19 transmission countywide with cases doubling over the last 10 days.
Thursday’s test positivity rate is 5.2%; an increase from the rate of 1.2% on June 15 when physical distancing restrictions and capacity limits were lifted across all sectors.
The County’s daily average case rate, with a 7-day lag, is now 12.9 cases per 100,000 people, an increase from last week’s rate of 7.1 cases per 100,000.
There are 645 people with COVID-19 currently hospitalized and 22% of these people are in the ICU. Last week, there were 406 people hospitalized with COVID-19 illness.

Unionized workers with Tenet Healthcare including hundreds of respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, technicians and emergency and operating room staff at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center have authorized a strike that could begin as early as next month.
Voting results were released Wednesday by the National Union of Healthcare Workers, the same day Tenet Healthcare Corp. announced to shareholders the company had earned a second-quarter net income of $257 million, including $24 million in COVID-19 stimulus grants.
