Each refused to answer, referring questions to TAS Health (Technical Advisory Services). A DHB spokesperson, through TAS Health, said Covid-19 vaccination is “strongly recommended” for every worker in the health workforce, whether patient-facing or not. Sirachai Arunrugstichai/Getty Images Vaccination of district health board staff varies between 70 and 91 per cent, as of the end of June. DHBs cannot require all workers be vaccinated, but under the guidance DHBs can require specific work to only be performed by a vaccinated person – such as working with patients considered to pose a risk of Covid-19 or those who have tested positive, the spokesperson said.
