Islamabad: The Centres for Disease Control (CDC) Pakistan was launched at the National Institute of Health (NIH) here Tuesday, marking the start of a brand new initiative to enhance the country s capacity in the field of national public health initiatives.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, along with Prof. Nausherwan Khan Burki, Chairman of the Health Task Force, and Prof Zulfiqar A. Bhutta, Chairman of the Board of Governors of NIH, inaugurated the center at NIH.
CDC Pakistan has been established to enhance the capacity of the public health system in coordination, disease detection, surveillance, response, preparedness, and emergency management of public health events.

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: As the government pursues the strategy of linking various facilities to vaccination, beginning with the air travel bar from next week and a warning related to restriction on mobile phone use, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan on Tuesday urged the people to get their jabs at the earliest to avoid harsh measures, announcing that the authorities were aiming at the target of one million shots a day.
While the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data showed over 3,000 Covid-19 cases for a second consecutive day with 39 more deaths and 3,262 new cases in past 24 hours, the number of active cases in the country swelled to 59,899 on July 27.

TRIBUN-BALI.COM, KARANGASEM - Bed (tempat tidur untuk perawatan pasien) terkonfirmasi COVID - 19 di Karangasem masih terkendali.
Data satuan tugas (Satgas) Penangganan COVID-19 di Karangasem, Sabtu 24 Juli 2021 pagi, seekitar 78 bed masih tersisa alias kosong.
Rinciannya yakni sisa bed di RSUD Karangasem sekitar 15, RS Swasta 19 bed, serta SKB Jasri, Kelurahan Subagan, Karangasem teersisa 44 bed.
Bed di RSUD Karangasem yang terpakai sebanyak 68 orang, RS Swasta 61 orang, SKB Jasri 16 orang.
Pria yang juga jabat Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Karangasem menjelaskan, kasus COVID - 19 mengalami peningkatan Sabtu 24 Juli 2021, temuan kasus COVID di Kabupaten Karangasem sebanyak 23 kasus.
