Safe Davao QR to be integrated into StaySafe ph

SunStar File photo March 14, 2021 The Safe Davao QR (DQR) Code is ready to be integrated into the national government s proposed unification of all existing contact tracing applications in the country. Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) head and DQR Implementation supervisor Lemuel Ortonio said they already received a communication from the Department of Information and Communications Technology in November 2020 regarding the planned centralization of the contact tracing system to the StaySafe.ph app. The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases issued on February 26, 2021, that StaySafe.ph will be the primary contact tracing system, while the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) travel management system will be institutionalized as the one-stop-shop application/communication for travelers.

The Oxford-AstraZeneca s Covid-19 vaccine, allocated by the National Government, arrived around 7 a.m. via commercial flight at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport, also known as Davao International Airport. This is on top of the 33,600 Sinovac CoronaVac vaccines, also allocated by the national government, delivered on March 2 and 4. The arrival of the AstraZeneca in Davao came after nearly 500,000 doses arrived in Manila on March 4, making it the second Covid-19 vaccine to reach the Philippines after the 600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine donated by China arrived on February 28.

Davao City launches Safe Davao QR mobile app that could detect COVID-positive persons

Published February 26, 2021, 2:12 PM DAVAO CITY – The city government of Davao has launched the Safe Davao QR (DQR) mobile application which is equipped with a new feature that notifies an individual that he is “blocked” from entering business establishments or private offices for testing positive for COVID-19. The DQR mobile application, which is available for download via Google Play Store for Android and Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad users, allows individuals to scan the QR codes of business establishments and private offices upon entry for contact-tracing. Lemuel Ortonio, Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) head, said Friday that this mobile app feature could detect individuals who have been tagged by contact tracers as active COVID-19 case in the system once they use it to scan the QR codes of the establishments.
