Govt plans door-to-door vaccination

The Punjab government has decided to launch a door-to-door coronavirus vaccination drive, to achieve the vaccination target set by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), in five major cities of the province.
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, on Saturday, announced that a special door-to-door vaccination drive is being launched from Monday, to reach the maximum number of citizens in five major cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Multan.
He directed the officials concerned to kick-start a special campaign, which will last till August 10, to vaccinate as many citizens as possible. During this special campaign, mobile teams will visit markets, bazaars and commercial areas to vaccinate the shopkeepers as well as citizens.

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid on Monday presided over a meeting to review progress on different development schemes here at the Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education (SH&ME) Department.
According to SH&ME spokesperson, Secretary SH&ME Amir Jan, Technical Advisor Ajmal Bhatti, Additional Secretary Development Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, Dean Children Hospital Prof Masood Sadiq and Prof Javed Ch were present in the meeting.
On this occasion, Secretary SH&ME Amir Jan, Additional Secretary Development and Chief Planning Officer gave briefing to the minister on the ongoing development schemes and new schemes including new block at Mother and Child Block at Ganga Ram, Teaching Hospital Nishtar-2 Multan, establishment of Institute of Cardiology at Dera Ghazi Khan and Teaching Hospital Sheikh Zayed.
