Article content Public Health Ontario’s weekly update was posted Thursday, showing vaccination counts up to Wednesday, July 28. In the week since its last update, PHO reports an additional 1,790 additional people within the EOHU who’ve received first doses, for a total of 142,858, or 68.4 per cent of the eligible population. An additional 12,300 people are now fully vaccinated, for a total of 115,631, or 55.4 per cent of the eligible population. This marks the first PHO update where over half of the eligible population within the EOHU is now fully vaccinated. The biggest percentage increase within the PHO’s age-group breakdowns was among the 12- to 17-year-olds, where an additional 2.5 per cent of those eligible received their first dose, with an additional 11.6 per cent now fully vaccinated.
