Close to 553,000 patients and caregivers are registered for the program in order to obtain medical marijuana for one of 23 serious medical conditions. There are more than 327,400 active certifications as part of the program.

04/20/2021 Harrisburg, PA - The Department of Health (DOH) today shared a weekly update on Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing data, encouraging Pennsylvanians to download the COVID Alert PA app, as more than 873,000 have already done, to aid in contact tracing efforts. “All Pennsylvanians are encouraged to seek the vaccine at their nearest provider as all residents are now eligible,” Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam said. “As COVID-19 remains a threat in our communities, we will need to continue to wear a mask, wash our hands, and practice social distancing.” Here’s how the process works:   A person with a positive COVID-19 result is contacted by a case investigator – a public health professional – to gather information and offer guidance. For the week ending April 3, public health professionals completed 8,313 case investigations. This equates to 28 percent of positive cases reported for the week.
