According to Moffatt’s family, the car spun out and the 51-year-old was thrown to the side. Moffatt was the only passenger in the vehicle that was seriously hurt.
She was transported to Health Sciences North in Sudbury with “catastrophic head injuries,” and was placed in a medically induced coma to help keep her stable.
