Indianapolis police have identified the 18-year-old found in his vehicle over the weekend with gunshot wounds.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 7100 block of Orinoco Avenue, just south of Southport Road, between East Street and Madison Avenue, around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on reports of a person passed out in a vehicle.
Police found a man, later identified as 18-year-old John Neri Guzman, with injuries consistent with one or more gunshot wounds.
Officers began investigating the incident as a homicide. Indianapolis EMS responded, however Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene.

INDIANAPOLIS IMPD detectives are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man dead on the south side.
A police spokesman said officers were responding to a possible accident at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Weber Drive and Orinoco Avenue in the Southport Crossing residential complex off Stop 10 Road. They found a man who appeared to have been shot.
The victim, who was later identified as 18-year-old John Neri Guzman, was confirmed dead by medics.
The investigation is ongoing.
