Australia has gained a new window into the incredible creativity in Aussie adland with Nine unveiling a selection of entries in its State of Originality competition as part of Game 1 of last night's 2021 State of Origin series.
Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have trolled their friend, New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian, by Photoshopping a viral photo of her into their KIIS FM studio.

State of Origin Game 1 has achieved the highest ever Live Broadcast Video on Demand audience at 280,000, up +56% Year on Year.
This equates to 32.4 million minutes (+60% YoY) and 776,000 stream starts (+36% YoY).
This follows the game attracting 1.91m metro viewers, plus 797,000 in Regionals.
Brent Williams, Nine’s Director of Sport, said: “We’re thrilled that so many viewers tuned into last night’s broadcast of
State of Origin across both Nine & 9NOW. At its peak, more than 3 million Australians were watching this great rivalry play out on our linear broadcast, making it the most watched program of the year and an increase of 13% on last year’s game one.”

After much debate and discussion it’s finally here; State of Origin Game 1. Following the disruption of last year, particularly the scheduling of one of the games on the same night as the US election, I’m thoroughly looking forward to the game tonight.

As a New South Welshman, of course my preference would be that Queensland do not have two home games during this series. Despite that, I understand the need to have moved this game due to the COVID-19 pandemic and I think Townsville is a sensational choice.
