TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2020 /CNW/ - Today, 19 of Ontario s research hospitals have been ranked among the top 40 research hospitals in Canada. The report,
, shows that Ontario is home to nearly half of Canada s top research hospitals and are among the largest drivers of health research in Canada.
The rankings are released annually by Research Infosource Inc. and are based on total research spend by institute with investments for each organization coming from a multitude of sources, including philanthropy, government and industry. Ontario is home to some of Canada s leading scientific talent, and the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) congratulates the 19 hospitals recognized today for their ongoing investment in research that improves the lives of patients and transforms health care, said Anthony Dale, President and CEO of the OHA.
