The National Hurricane Center has spent much of May reminding residents and community leaders to take precautions against what is already predicted to be an active hurricane season.
Orange County has been broadcasting the same message to residents as the June 1 start of the season approaches.
“From high winds to tornadoes and flooding, hurricanes can present a variety of severe weather,” Orange wrote on its website. “Your ability to plan ahead will be your best protection against injury and damage to your home and property.”
