Chapel Drove, Horton Heath Officers investigating reports of gunshots have charged a man. The charges come after a member of the public reported that a firearm had been discharged at an address on Chapel Drove, Horton Heath at around 6.45pm on May 16. Kieron Kimber, 28, of Warburton Road, Southampton was charged with one count of assault, one count of theft, one count of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, one count of robbery, one count of breach of bail and a Section 4 Public Order offence. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on June 21.
Crews tackle chip pan fire in Badgers Bolt, Colden Common HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised for a family after a chip pan fire destroyed parts of their home in Colden Common. Five fire engines from Winchester, Bishop’s Waltham and Eastleigh were called to Badgers Bolt at 7.28pm last night to reports of smoke and flames. The kitchen was destroyed in the blaze and the rest of the house suffered significant smoke damage. One person was taken to hospital for treatment after they suffered smoke inhalation and burns on one hand. A fundraising page has been set up for the family, which has raised more than £800 of its £1,500 target.
