Several first responder units extinguished a Raritan Township house fire on Sunday afternoon.
Raritan Township Police responded to a fire at a residence on Ridgeview Court at approximately 2:03 p.m., police confirmed.
The call was initially dispatched as a grill on fire next to the residence, but likely due to yesterday’s heavy winds spread to the bushes and exterior of the residence and was upgraded to a Level 3 house fire, according to Raritan Township Captain Thomas Camporeale.

“It’s just a big extension to your family,” Max said. “That’s what it is.”
“It’s like a big brotherhood,” Bob said. “We’re all there for each other all the time.”
Bob and Max spoke figuratively to highlight the camaraderie between themselves and the 40 or so members of the Amwell Valley Fire Company. But between them, the words can only be applied literally.
