A green sea turtle rescued from the brink of death was among a trio of turtles released back into the ocean after months of rehabilitation.
A large crowd gathered at Mooloolaba Beach on Tuesday morning to witness the three turtles return to their home following three months spent recovering at Sea Life Sunshine Coast.
Two of the turtles, Fern and Buddy were rescued after washing up on Teewah Beach and Point Cartwright. Amity came to Sea Life in a poor condition but was nursed back to health and is now strong enough to return to the ocean.
