LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) There’s no doubt that this year was dominated by COVID-19 and the global pandemic. However, there were tons of non-coronavirus-related stories that piqued our interest and shocked our community this year.
Here are the top 10 news stories from the La Crosse area this year that had nothing to do with the coronavirus.

Man dies of injuries following altercation at La Crosse store Russell Paulson, 79, was killed May 1 after he fell during an altercation in a Menards parking lot. Matthew Kinstler, 50, was charged with homicide after investigators say he pushed the other man.
