Reigning Ring of Honor World Champion Rush (real name William Gonzalez) won t be leaving for the WWE, according to a new report via
Wrestling Inc. Raj Giri reported on Wednesday that, despite his one-year contract with the company on the verge of ending, WWE opted to pass on the Mexican wrestler because he demanded too much money. Giri pointed out the Lucha Libre AAA promotion represented him during negotiations.
Giri added, It is believed that ROH has either re-signed RUSH, or that they have come to terms on a new deal. Rush spent a decade competing in the Mexican promotion CMLL from 2009-19. He arrived in ROH in late 2018 and quickly established himself as a dominant main eventer. He first won the ROH World Championships at Death Before Dishonor XVII and held it for two months before dropping it to PCO at the 2019 Final Battle event. ROH Announces Tracy Williams Has Re-Signed
“Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams has re-signed with Ring of Honor.
A member of the stable, The Foundation (ROH World Tag Team Champion Jay Lethal, ROH Pure and World Tag Team Champion Jonathan Gresham, and Rhett Titus), Williams recently participated in this year’s ROH Pure Tournament. Williams defeated Rust Taylor in the first round, Fred Yehi in the second, and Jay Lethal in the semis. He then lost to Gresham in the finals.

Brian Johnson Signs New Contract With ROH
Brian Johnson has signed a new Ring of Honor contract.
ROH announced today that “The Mecca” has officially re-signed with the company.
Johnson was a member of the first class of the new ROH Dojo in 2018, and competed in the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament but lost in the first round to Austin Gunn. He made his Final Battle debut last month, losing to Danhausen by DQ.
Johnson responded to ROH’s Twitter announcement today and wrote, “Resigned me but yet to update the photo. Also whoever wrote this hot garbage should be fired. Well, I’m here to stay @ringofhonor. This Meccade is just getting started and so am I. You ain’t seen nothing yet. #MeccavsEverybody”
