Three children have escaped injury after being inside a home that was sprayed with bullets during a crime spree which involved another shooting hours earlier.
Officers were called to Kirk Avenue in Guildford, western Sydney, just before 10pm on Tuesday after shots rang out and found damage to the house.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Audi 4WD leaving the area around the time of the incident - which was later found burnt out in the nearby suburb of Chester Hill.
Along with the three children, two adults were also in the house, with all five being uninjured.
Inquiries are underway into two public-place shootings in Western Sydney last night.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were called to Aubrey Street, South Granville about 7.10pm (Tuesday 29 December 2020), following reports shots had been fired from a vehicle.
Police conducted a canvass of the area and found damage to a home and a vehicle parked outside.
Two men were inside the property at the time, but nobody was injured.
Witnesses told police a blue Audi was seen leaving the area around the time of the incident, and a short time later, police were called to attend John Street, South Granville, after reports of a vehicle on fire, identified as the blue Audi.
