Huami is bringing the Amazfit Bip U smartwatch to the US.
The Bip U Pro is also on offer as a rebranded Amazfit Pop Pro.
Both smartwatches will be available to purchase on Amazon.
Huami’s Amazfit is broadening its brand offerings in the US with the debut of the Bip U and the Bip U Pro in the country, the company announced in a press release.
The Amazfit Bip U made its debut in India back in October packing an Apple Watch-like squared face with a 1.43-inch LCD. Smooth lines meet pastel colors with a big dial also visible on the watch’s right flank.
Following an initial launch in China, Huami is now bringing the GTS 2e and GTR 2e to North America, the UK, and India.
The new watches make a couple of cutbacks compared to the Amazfit GTS/GTR 2.
Both watches go on sale January 12 in the west, and January 19 in India.
Update: January 18, 2021 (12:43 AM ET) : After announcing its plans at CES 2021 to bring the Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e to North America and the UK, Huami has now confirmed the duo will also be sold in India.
The smartwatches heading to the above nations are essentially the same devices that launched in China in December, just without the XiaoAI voice assistant. However, both watches still support the offline voice assistant for quickly launching apps and activities, which we praised in our full review of the GTS 2 and GTR 2.
