Deployable Maintenance Facility
The Bulgarian Air Force has asked Saab to deliver Deployable Maintenance Facility (DAM) for use at numerous air bases throughout the country.
DAM will provide a complement to existing permanent infrastructure and provide sufficient capability for parking, protection and maintenance of a variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft in the Bulgarian Air Force, Saab said in a statement Wednesday.
It provides enhanced and mobile maintenance capacity. Combined with an integrated Barracuda multispectral camouflage, DAM also provides protection against warfare sensors. By using DAM, the operational flexibility increases by reduced dependency on stationary infrastructure for maintenance and protection. DAM contributes to improved autonomy and mission endurance while safeguarding operational availability.

The Bangladesh government suspended domestic flights from Apr 5 to Apr 14 in an effort to curb a second wave of coronavirus cases.
Bangladesh imposed a ‘stricter lockdown’ on Apr 14, extending it to May 16, as the caseload continued to rise.
Domestic flight services resumed in a limited capacity on Apr 21, while international flights restarted, with strict restrictions, on May 1.
Saab Wins Swedish Order for Future Gripen Upgrades Our Bureau 311
Saab said today it has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, to provide future development support for Gripen from April 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. The total order value is SEK 998 million (~118 million).
The order is an extension of an existing contract and enables the future development of Gripen for the Swedish Air Force and other Gripen users around the world. The contract includes the operating and support of test aircraft and advanced tools such as testing rigs and simulators. Test aircraft together with these advanced tools are used in the verification and validation of Gripen C/D and Gripen E fighter systems as Saab develops future new capabilities or enhancements.
