Detectives appeal after four armed robberies across south
Specialist detectives have commenced an investigation into four armed robberies at service stations across Sydney’s south-west overnight.
The incidents are believed to be linked and occurred in Yagoona, Narwee, Auburn and Lansvale, between 6.15pm and 9.30pm yesterday (Sunday 18 July 2021).
Initial inquiries into the incidents were conducted by local police, before the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the investigations.
The incidents include –
About 6.15pm yesterday (Sunday 18 July 2021), two men – armed with a baseball bat – entered a service station at Auburn Road, Yagoona. The men threatened an employee before stealing cash. The pair were last seen heading south on Auburn Road. Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were contacted and conducted an extensive search of the area; however, the men were not located.
