Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for February 23rd, 2021. In today’s article, we catch up some recent releases with a pack of Mini-Views before heading into the rather noteworthy list of new titles that hit the eShop today. We’ve got summaries of all of those games, of course. There are a few really good ones, so I hope you’ve got some extra money between last week’s releases and the ones coming later this week. Things finish up, as ever, with the incoming and outgoing sales for the day. Let’s get started!
Midway through season 1 of the currently unfolding anime series
Jujutsu Kaisen, two high-school classmates, Nobara Kugisaki and Maki Zenin, walk together after Maki stops a fight between Nobara and a student from another school. As Nobara realizes Maki doesn’t have “cursed” powers like everyone else at their school for jujutsu sorcerers which means fighting would be far more difficult for Maki Nobara asks why she still wants to become a sorcerer. Maki says she’s doing it to spite her family for looking down on her for so many years. Nobara’s eyes sparkle, and she says, “I respect you, Maki-san.” In a sweet gesture, she rests her head on Maki’s shoulder.
The anime adaptation of the
Fire Force manga had its second season for summer 2020 and but we’ve also got home video releases rolling out around the world. The latest one coming up is through Peppermint Anime for German audiences where the latest dub clips, the twenty-eighth, have now arrived. The fourth set arrived with a December 20th, 2020 debut where both editions are just about 36 euro each. They’re bilingual sets with German subtitles and look to have five episodes per set with a four-volume set scheduled.
Yuki Yase is set to direct based on the scripts overseen by Yamato Haishima while Hideyuki Morioka is handling the character designs. David Production is handling the animation for it.
PaperMoon02 has been cosplaying for a little over 10 years. They were already a frequent con-goer, but decided to try dressing up just to see what it was like. 10 years later and they’re still dressing up, having way too much fun as they wear all the pretty outfits they can. You can check out their story below.
TMS: How do you decide what you’re going to cosplay?
PaperMoon02: I like picking characters with cute outfits, I do a lot of
Monster High cosplays so it makes sense. I just am drawn to characters with a killer sense of style.
