Liberian President George Weah announced as Ambassador for Pan-African Inter-School Championship
A joint CAF and FIFA delegation travelled to Liberia to hold meetings today with the Liberian Football Association and government officials in Monrovia. Partnerships with the public and private sectors, increased opportunities for youth through football and the appointment of Liberian President George Weah as the first Ambassador of the Pan-African Inter-School Championship were among the topics discussed.
Upon arrival last night at Monrovia Roberts Airport, the delegation were greeted by Liberia Football Association (LFA) President Mustapha Raji, members of the LFA Executive Committee (EXCO) and Minister of Youth and Sports, the Honorable D. Zeogar Wilson. In Monrovia city, Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee welcomed the delegations to the capital and presented the FIFA President with a key to the city in a gesture of friendship.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Dr. Motsepe on Wednesday concluded a one-day, three-nation visit to Liberia.
The four-day visit to the West African Countries is focused on the Pan-African inter-school championship. During the visit, the two football governing body leaders, accompanied by Dr. Motsepe’s wife and children, met with President George Weah, stakeholders of the Liberia Football Association, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
It was also followed by a tour of two FIFA-approved project sites. LFA President Mustapha Raji led presidents Infantino and Motsepe to the newly constructed SKD Practice Pitch and the project site of the LFA Headquarters.

Monrovia – The Abundance Community Coin (TACC) is expected for the first time to launch a global digital currency network in Liberia called CryptoCurrency. The launch will be held at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
Crypto currency is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange wherein individual coin ownership records are stored in a ledger existing in a form of computerized database using strong cryptography to secure transaction records, to control the creation of additional coins, and to verify the transfer of coin ownership.
