The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic seems to be creating more trouble than the one that hit us last year. One of the upcoming Bollywood films suffering because of this is the Indra Kumar directed Thank God. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead, the film has been in the making for over two years now and had its mahurat shot in January this year.

While the team was all set to begin filming in mid-April, the restriction put in place when the second coronavirus wave hit has spoiled the plans. As per a recent report, the makers have suffered losses close to Rs 2 crore because of it and below is all the details we have on the same.

Last week, Ajay Devgn was in the news for converting a marriage hall in Dadar into Covid care centre with ICU, Oxygen and Ventilator facilities. The facility had 20 beds and the actor was appreciated by one and all for this philanthropic move in tough times like this emerging a real-life hero too. He had executed the entire plan with his Thank God and Big Bull producer, Anand Pandit. The producer informs that this was Ajay Devgn’s idea. “In today’s time, the medical facility is overwhelmed. So, we thought of doing something out of the box and give it back to the society,” Anand Pandit informs.

Just last week, Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit and a few of their colleagues were in the news for setting up emergency COVID centres in Dadar; the friends helped convert a marriage hall into a care centre equipped with ICU, Oxygen and Ventilator facilities. Now, Pandit, in a recent conversation, spoke about setting up more such facilities across the city.

We want to ensure that we help out anyone in need irrespective of where they come from or what religion they practice. I m also ready to travel across town for help.
