East Godavari Woman Complains Against Brother At Tahsildar Office, Dies Of Heart Attack Mar 02, 2021, 16:31 IST
Allavaram: The tragic incident took place on Monday at the Allavaram Mandal tahsildar s office in East Godavari district. Cherku Vijayalakshmi (38), a woman from Komaragiripatnam village, went to the tahsildar’s office on Monday to lodge a complaint against her brother, she went along with her mother and collapsed with a heart attack and died on the spot.
According to the victims, Pasalapudi Sriramulu and Nagmani of Komaragiripatnam in Allavaram Mandal have three daughters and a son. When Sri Ramulu died three years ago, Nagmani alleged that her husband had died due to the negligence of her son.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vizag city police on Monday arrested five persons and seized over 100 kilograms of dry ganja near Sattivanipalem area under Pendurthi police station limits.
The accused smugglers reportedly procured the weed from various parts of Visakhapatnam Agency.
They were caught while attempting to move the contraband in two vehicles. Police said that the accused are residents of Visakhapatnam Agency.

AP Village Volunteers Get Busy With Distribution Of Pension and Ration Mar 01, 2021, 12:53 IST
AMARAVATI: Even as the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission on Sunday directed all District Collectors to keep the ward volunteers away from the election process for the urban local body polls scheduled for March 10, the village and ward volunteers are in the process of distributing the monthly pension and ration for the people in the State.
The distribution of pension amount under the YSR Pension Kanuka has commenced across the State from Monday morning. By 9.30 AM, 62.27 per cent of pensions have been disbursed, where more than 38.23 lakh people have received pension so far.

Amaravati: Calling former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu out over his theatrics at the Renigunta Airport on Monday, Cabinet minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy belittled the whole episode by saying it was a mere PR stunt orchestrated by Nara Chandrababu Naidu to gain relevance post the dismal performance of the yellow outfit in the recently concluded panchayat elections.
He further went onto say, ‘He knew that permission was not given due to Covid-19 restrictions, the dharna potentially causing inconvenience to the citizens and as the Model Code of Conduct is in place due to the local municipal polls. Despite that, he decided to travel to the spot.
