Health officials reported 330 new positive cases of COVID-19 since Friday’s report.
Of the 2,688 tests administered Sunday, the state collected a positivity rate of 2.3%.
Three more Rhode Islanders died over the weekend, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,690.
According to data, there are currently 97 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Of these patients, 20 are in the ICU and 18 are on a ventilator.
Over 440,000 Rhode Islanders have been fully vaccinated.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Local healthcare workers will be able to enjoy a free coffee on Thursday May 6, in celebration of National Nurses Day.
Any healthcare worker who shows their ID at any Dunkin’ Donuts in Rhode Island or Bristol County, Massachusetts, will receive a free medium or hot iced coffee.
The in-store offer is part of Dunkin’s Month of Giving, which includes a weekly sweepstakes to “Raise a Cup” to Healthcare Heroes, appearances from the Dunkin’ truck at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center vaccination site, and Iced Coffee Day on May 26.
On Iced Coffee Day, $1 from every iced coffee or cold brew sold will be donated to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
The state administered 18,223 tests on Tuesday, which collected a positivity rate of 1.4%.
One more person died from the virus, bringing Rhode Island’s death toll to 2,682.
Currently, 125 Rhode Islanders are hospitalized with the virus. Of these patients, 23 are in the ICU and 17 are on a ventilator.
The state reached a milestone Wednesday as data showed 405,389 people have been fully vaccinated.
Over 558,000 residents have at least received one dose of the vaccine.
Govenor Dan McKee said Tuesday the state is considering a vaccine incentive program, even as the percentage of Rhode Islanders vaccinated for COVID-19 nears 70%.
“We’re approaching that 70% number as I thought we would be by Mother’s Day,” Gov. McKee said.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 181 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday.
Out of the 7,390 COVID-19 tests taken on Monday, the state collected a positivity rate of 2.4%.
Additionally, three more Rhode Islanders died after contracting the virus. These fatalities bring the state’s death toll to 2,681.
There are currently 129 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Of these patients, 26 are in the ICU and 16 are on a ventilator.
The dats comes just one day after Governor Dan McKee stated the Dunkin’ Donuts Center mass vaccination site will soon close its doors. McKee did not give a specific date on when this will happen, but instead saying it’ll happen “sometime soon”.
