Mid-Prairie Ready For RVC Triangular

The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams continue the River Valley Conference schedule Monday. The Golden Hawk girls will be on their home course in Kalona to entertain the West Liberty Comets and West Branch Bears. Last time out, the Hawks were clipped by Wilton 217-223 last week. Madelyn Bender had the top Mid-Prairie score with a 50. On the season the Hawks are led by Bender with a 59 average per nine holes. West Liberty was last on the course Friday at the Wahkonsa Invitational where they were sixth of 10 teams with a score of 444. Aly Hamed leads West Liberty for the year with her average of 54 per nine holes.

Hawks Dual with Beavers in RVC Action

The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams are back on the course Monday to face the Wilton Beavers in River Valley Conference action. The Mid-Prairie boys are back after a third place finish at the Durant Invitational at Wahkonsa Country Club Thursday. Dominic McCain led the Hawks with an 81, finishing fifth place individually. On the season, McCain has a team leading 38 average per nine holes. Wilton was also at the Durant Invitational where they were eighth of 10 teams. On the season, the Beavers are led by Gage Oien with a 50 average per nine holes. The Mid-Prairie girls will travel to Wilton tonight. The Golden Hawks finished eighth at their home 18-hole invitational Thursday, shooting a 444, led by Madelyn Bender’s 99. On the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Madi Davidson with a 60 average per nine holes. She also has a nine hole round of 54 to her credit. Wilton was last in action at Mid-Prairie Invitational Thursday where they were seventh with a team score of 437, led by Zoe

Blue Top Hosts Area Triangular

Three boys and girls golf teams from the KCII listening area will be in action as part of a triangular this evening at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside when Mid-Prairie, Lone Tree and Highland square off. The Golden Hawk boys come into the night off of a fifth place finish of 10 schools at their home invitational last week. They were led by a sixth place finish individually from Dominic McCain. The Mid-Prairie girls last competed Monday when they beat Tipton in a River Valley Conference dual. The Highland boys were in action Tuesday at the Golden Hawk Invitational where they finished 10th of 10 teams. The boys and girls then took on Louisa-Muscatine at Blue Top Ridge last Thursday.
