Novak Djokovic, número uno del tenis masculino mundial, anunció este jueves que participará en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio, donde no estarán sus dos grandes rivales históricos, Roger Federer y Rafa Nadal, que renunciaron a acudir a la cita nipona. He reservado mi vuelo para Tokio y me uniré con orgullo al equipo serbio para los Juegos Olímpicos , anunció en Twitter el jugador de Belgrado, que ha sido el vencedor en los tres torneos del Grand Slam hasta ahora disputados en 2021 (Abierto de Australia, Roland Garros, Wimbledon).

World number one Novak Djokovic has confirmed that he will compete at the Tokyo Olympics.
While Djokovic is headed for Tokyo, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Nick Kyrgios are among the top men s players who won t be competing in the Olympics.
Djokovic completed the third leg towards achieving the Golden Slam last weekend when he added the Wimbledon title to his Australian Open and Roland Garros triumphs in 2021.
No man has ever won the four slams and an Olympic gold in the same year, with Germany s Steffi Graf the only player to accomplish the feat in 1988.

World No 1 Novak Djokovic said Thursday he will play at the Tokyo Olympics, giving him the opportunity to achieve the first calendar Golden Slam by a male player.
“I booked my flight for Tokyo and will proudly be joining #TeamSerbia for the Olympics,” tweeted Djokovic in English.
“With much pride I’m packing for Tokyo and joining our national team in the fight for the brightest medals at the Olympic arenas,” he then tweeted in Serbian.
