受到美國制裁的影響，華為在智能手機市場的佔有率每況愈下，甚至需要改變新手機的發表和上市策略，以往在上半年推出的 P 系列，至現在 7 月下旬還未發表。昨日華為終於在官方微博和 Twitter，公佈旗艦新品發佈會的舉行日期，相信 P50 系列屆時會正式發表。
今年 6 月華為發佈鴻蒙 2.0 系統時，曾經公開了一段 P50 系列的預覽影片，但當中提及的資料並不多。最近有爆料者公開了 P50 系列的資料，例如 P50 系列的頂級配置 Pro+ 版本可能無法推出，P50 系列推出時會使用自家 Kirin 9000 處理器和支援 5G 網絡，但到了 12 月則會改用 Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 處理器，但無法支援 5G 網絡，轉換處理器的原因與 Kirin 9000 庫存枯竭有關。
