The 2021 NFL Draft is in the books and just because Dedrick Mills, Dicaprio Bootle and Jack Stoll were not drafted, it doesn’t mean their NFL dreams are over. Sure it would be great to hear your name called. But as an undrafted free agent the players have a bit more control over where they end up going. ALLEN PARK The Detroit Lions added to their greatest strength from last season on Day 1 of the NFL draft, meaning they have more than a couple of needs left to fill.
Detroit took Oregon offensive lineman Penei Sewell at Pick 7 to open the three-day event. The Lions passed on quarterback Justin Fields, Alabama receiver DeVonta Smith and Alabama quarterback Mac Jones, among others, to go with the man most considered OL1 in this year’s class.

ALLEN PARK At last, it is here. After so many weeks with too many zooms and enough mock drafts to keep the internet turned on through a pandemic, the 2021 NFL draft has finally arrived. And there’s no telling what the Detroit Lions will do when they’re on the clock.
