The Public Workers Union (PWU) and the Grenada Union of Teachers (GUT) has given the assurance that they are committed to stand their ground with respect to demanding the agreed 4% increase this month end for the period 2021, despite Government’s plea for a deferral, citing inability to pay.
Government claims, given the fiscal position in the country brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic they are not in a position to pay the 4% immediately and is therefore requesting a deferral until later in the year.
