리버풀 에코는 4일(이하 한국시각) 에버튼의 새로운 감독 베니테즈가 선수단 정리를 위한 조언을 팬들로부터 받았다고 보도했다. 에버튼 팬들은 투표를 통해 에버튼을 떠나야 하는 10명의 선수를 지목했다. 팬들은 해당 선수들을 팔아서 베니테즈에게 충분한 이적자금을 줘야한다고 주장한 것으로 전해진다.
처분해야 할 선수 10명 중 1위로는 파비안 델프가 이름을 올렸다. 2019/20시즌부터 에버튼의 유니폼을 입은 델프는 두 시즌동안 총 30경기 출전에 그치고 있다. 2019/20시즌에는 리그 16경기에 나와 활약했지만 2020/21시즌에는 단 8경기 출전(2경기 선발) 출전에 그치고 있다. 투표에 참여한 에�
