Thousands of regional Victorians are being urged to monitor for Covid-19 symptoms after viral fragments were found in sewage in Bendigo.
Residents and recent visitors to the suburbs of California Gully, Eaglehawk, Epsom, Huntly, Jackass Flat, Maiden Gully, Marong, North Bendigo and Sailors Gully between June 3 and 7 should get tested if any Covid-19 symptoms develop.

The NSW Premier has issued a warning to the Prime Minister, declaring if the federal government wants to increase quarantine capacity itâs going to have to âdo it themselvesâ.
âIf the feds (federal government) want to increase capacity in NSW theyâre going to have to build and operate a facility themselves,â Gladys Berejiklian told 2GBâs Ben Fordham.
The state welcomed home thousands of Australians every week and there were between 5000 and 5500 people in hotel quarantine across NSW at any given time, the Premier explained.

Victoria has recorded four new positive local cases of Covid-19 on Sunday morning, including two in aged care.
Arcare chief executive Colin Singh confirmed the two new cases at the company’s Maidstone facility in Melbourne’s inner west in a media statement on Sunday morning.
He said one was a 79-year-old resident who lived near the first two residents diagnosed, while the second was an agency nurse who last worked at the facility on Saturday.
