CAMERON COUNTY – A lawsuit seeking more than $1 million damages has been brought against Innovative Carriers and Utility Trailer Manufacturing.
Kennedy Johnson, along with three other individuals, filed the suit in Cameron County District Court, also naming Conrado Sanchez as a defendant.
According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 28, 2020, Johnson was driving northbound in the right lane of I-35. Sanchez was following behind the plaintiffs driving a freightliner truck, owned by Innovative carriers, and pulling a trailer leased by Utility Trailer.
“According to the police report, the truck driven by Defendant Sanchez ‘failed to control its speed’ and the truck and trailer slammed into the rear of Plaintiff Johnson’s vehicle,” the suit states. “Due to the collision, Plaintiffs sustained serious injuries. Plaintiffs now bring suit to recover for their damages.”
