Troubled U.S. Vaccine Manufacturer Announces a Shake-Up

Emergent BioSolutions, which ran a manufacturing plant where contamination concerns forced millions of doses to be thrown out, is shifting some top roles. All adults in India will be eligible for vaccines starting on Saturday, but doctors say there aren’t enough doses.

Executives of Emergent BioSolutions, the vaccine manufacturer that was forced to discard up to 15 million doses because of possible contamination, reported a shake-up in leadership on Thursday and offered the most fulsome defense yet of the company’s performance.
