Government would seem to work better when leaders get to hear from citizens about how decisions impact their daily lives.
The conservative majority on Staunton City Council doesn’t seem to think so.
Earlier this month, a 4-3 vote by the City Council cut the chord, literally, on the phone line that had connected residents who wished to weigh in on live discussions.
STAUNTON Governor Ralph Northam announced on Friday that a designer and manufacturer of textile-based engineering will expand in Staunton creating more jobs.
According to a press release, Ryzing Technologies will invest $149,000 to expand capabilities at its facility in Staunton which will create 31 new positions.
The company serves U.S. military and allied forces as well as industrial, commercial and governmental clients. It focuses on creating engineered textiles, rigid inflatable structure and rapid prototyping, according to a press release.

The company serves the U.S. military and allied forces, as well as industrial, commercial, and governmental clients, specializing in engineered textiles, rigid inflatable structures, and rapid prototyping.
