This incident took place at around 10.55am on Oakley Lane. South Western Railways reported that services between Basingstoke and Overton were delayed or cancelled. They said:  We were earlier informed that a road vehicle had struck a bridge between Overton and Basingstoke. However,  they added: Staff have inspected the bridge and all lines have now reopened , with delays expected until about 12.30pm. ⏱️ At this time, we estimate that disruption to our services will end at 12:30. All lines between Overton and Basingstoke are blocked and your journey is likely to take longer. We will let you know if this changes or when we have more information.

Consultation on herbal remedy garden in town centre launched A CONSULTATION has been launched over plans to form a public garden full of medicinal herbs, shrubs and plants in Newbury. The plans were proposed by Newbury Town Council earlier this month, and is expected to be situated in the green space at Old Hospital Green, Andover Road, where the Binary Conversation sculpture can be found.
