Annual Woman of the Year Campaign to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society -

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – KUSI’s Lauren Phinney is nominated as Woman of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and she is raising money and awareness to end blood cancer. The 2018 Man of the Year, and member of the Board of Trustees at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Jack Kelly, joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss the annual competition. One way to get involved is to join Trattoria Don Pietro on Friday, May 14th, and request to sit in Mark Mathis’s section. The restaurant said it will match all tip donations.

Pascal elected as CALU chair | Advisor s Edge

Staff Barry Pascal has been elected board chair for the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) for the 2021–2022 term, the Ottawa-based advocacy group announced Wednesday in a release. A 38-year veteran of the advanced insurance and financial advisory industry, Pascal has served on the CALU board for a total of six years. He has also served on more than nine CALU committees three as chair. During Pascal’s term, the release said, the CALU board will prioritize supporting federal government initiatives to support the small business sector as a key driver of economic growth, to strengthen Canada’s approach to long-term care, and to ensure the country’s retirement savings regime remains “one of the best in the world.”

Bergeon family gives to YMCA | News, Sports, Jobs

May 6, 2021 Courtesy photo The Bergeon Family recently gave a gift to the YMCA for its Annual Campaign. âWellness is important to me and my family,â said Jody Bergeon âI love that the Y and their Annual Campaign make it affordable to all. Plus, by playing an active role in the campaign, I get to see firsthand the impact our gift makes on the community,â she said. The Annual Campaign provides direct financial assistance to those in need, it provides funding for chronic disease prevention and management at no charge to the community, it gives a lift for family events, youth sports, safe out of school programs, day care and so much more. âWe are blessed to receive this contribution from the Bergeonâs and to have Jody part of the YMCA family,â states YMCA Fund Development Director, Caron Salo. Boys & Girls Clubs exceed annual campaign goal

TUPELO â¢ Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi concluded their 2021 Annual Campaign this week with donations totaling $235,994. This was 18% over their $200,000 goal. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign was mostly virtual. It included a virtual kickoff, virtual meetings and was even led by a campaign chair who recently relocated out of state. Longtime corporate board member Matt Gillis agreed to lead the campaign during his family s transition to Florida. It has been a privilege to chair the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippiâs Annual Campaign this year, Gillis said. I was encouraged by the teams and their leaders who made the campaign a success. We have great donors who understand that they are not giving to an organization. They are investing in the futures of the boys and girls in our community, and we are grateful for their commitment.
