Nassau, Bahamas - The Salvation Army has made it its mandate to rescue Christmas, enlisting a team of volunteers in love s army to feed those in need at its 89th Annual Community & Senior s Luncheon.
More than 300 persons were treated to a special lunch and gift voucher to help brighten their holiday season. This year, the annual luncheon took the form of a drive-through to adhere to social distancing protocols. This year s luncheon was special because we were able to provide hope for many who were affected greatly by the covid-19 pandemic, stated Melanese Coakley, Salvation Army Community Relations & Development Associate. We are forever thankful to our donors and volunteers who all came together to help those in need.
