Ann Arbor is getting its first commercial marijuana consumption lounge and officials say it also will be the first of its kind in Michigan. Plans are in the works to convert the pink house at 336 S. Ashley St. next to the Liberty Provisioning Center marijuana dispensary on the west edge of downtown into a lounge allowing onsite consumption of cannabis products.

Ypsilanti police silent on two recent homicides Updated Apr 14, 2021; YPSILANTI, MI – There have been two homicides reported in Ypsilanti within a week of each other, and police have not released any details about either to the public. Police are investigating a shooting death that occurred April 4 at the Citgo gas station, 505 S. Huron Ave., as well as an additional shooting death that occurred April 10 at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Leforge Road. MLive/The Ann Arbor News reached out to Police Chief Tony DeGiusti and his command staff requesting information about the recent homicides. Those messages have not been returned.
