Rovers face Morecambe in the first leg of the League Two promotion playoffs in a match that will go a long way to determining if the team has what it takes to make an immediate return to League One after the injustice of their Points Per Game demotion last season.

Photo: Phil Bryan Tranmere Rovers will welcome back thousands of supporters next week for their crunch playoff semi-final first leg against Morecambe at Prenton Park. And in a move that is sure to curry favour with the Super White Army, most of the lucky attendees will be given free entry. Following the Government’s Covid restrictions announcement on Monday (May 10), the club has confirmed that a limited number of fans will be permitted to attend the home leg only, on a socially distanced basis, subject to approval by the Safety Advisory Group.
