“However, for those who do the wrong thing and choose to engage in law-breaking behaviour, they are firmly reminded they are not welcome in Livingstone.
“Council is working closely with police to identify these perpetrators and will not hesitate to prosecute them.”
He said he had written to the Police and Corrective Services Minister and Fire and Emergency Services Minister Mark Ryan to request Yeppoon Police Station be fully-manned and accessible to the public 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and more officers be assigned to policing the region.

Dean Jones, headteacher of Firth Park Academy, said the phased return will allow his school time to manage the testing scheme more efficiently.
He said: “The staggered return is good news and will mean we are able to welcome our students back and manage the process of testing in a smooth and ordered way.
“We have over 600 laptops ready to distribute to families that need them so that all children can continue with their timetable and pastoral support, albeit virtually for some. We are determined to continue being the best online school in the city.

LIVINGSTONE Shire Council is exploring potential short and shorter term parking sites within the shire’s townships and wants feedback from the community.
A survey has launched on council’s website to help identify the current short and shorter term parking requirements in the region.
Livingstone Shire mayor, Andy Ireland, said the parking needs of travellers may differ depending upon the purpose and duration of their visits.
“It is important we identify what visitors are likely to do during their stay, where the parking spaces should be situated and the period of time, they may need the parking spaces for,” he said.

Livingstone Shire Council and Central Highlands Regional Council have introduced three new and interactive features to the online Disaster Dashboards.
Community members can ask specific questions, view or upload images of disasters, sign up for opt-in notifications, or access the Business Portal.
Local Disaster Management Group chair and Livingstone Shire Mayor Andy Ireland, said the innovative features would improve council’s interaction with the community during times of disaster.
