Could Tropical Storm Elsa pause the Stanley Cup Final? By Chelena Goldman | Last updated 7/6/21
It isn t just the Montreal Canadiens that are looking to put off the Tampa Bay Lightning s chances of hoisting Lord Stanley s Cup for the second year in a row.
This year s Stanley Cup Final series is moving back to Tampa for Game 5 on Wednesday. However, with Tropical Storm Elsa gaining momentum and set to hit the Florida city later on Tuesday, there is certainly a possibility that puck drop for that game could be pushed back. As far as the game and watch parties go, the Lightning and the NHL are continuing to monitor the situation and will make any necessary announcements at the appropriate time, team officials said in a statement obtained by News 10 WTSP Tampa, as the Bolts fly home from Montreal.
