What is the Government not telling us? Once again, I find myself asking the same question of our approach to this pandemic, in lieu of sensible answers. What possible reason could there be, for example, for such strict border controls to still be in place, at such great cost to the economy and people’s lives, now that every single vulnerable Briton (who wants to be) is protected from Covid?
What are we trying to keep out with this traffic light system? The virus? That’s the job of the vaccines, and they’ve proved exemplary in their role. Different strains of the virus? By Public Health England’s own admission, the vaccines we use work on those too.
