The actor, 57, took to Twitter on Monday to reveal he was on set, as he stated: Good to be back , while the show s official Twitter shared further details
In the announcement, bosses confirmed that Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West have joined the cast
The first movie saw beloved characters Robert (Hugh) and Cora Crawley (Elizabeth McGovern) told that they will be visited by the King and Queen
Dominic is something of a controversial casting as his friend Lily James, who his wife has reportedly banned him from speaking to, was previously on the show
Downton Abbey 2 is coming to cinemas before the end of the year
