Sayra Tekin Starts Work As NMA Legal, Policy and Regulatory Affairs Director
Sayra Tekin has started work as the News Media Association’s new legal, policy and regulatory affairs director.
Sayra, an experienced litigation lawyer most recently at the BBC, has now taken over from Santha Rasaiah who has retired following a short handover with Sayra.
Sayra has responsibility for the NMA’s legal, policy and regulatory affairs committee, chaired by Lord Black and comprising publisher and editorial representatives and legal and policy experts.
Formerly at the BBC, Sayra is a multi-specialist solicitor-advocate who has also been proactive at lobbying courts and regulators on issues which threaten press freedom.
