Set in an imaginary modern-day Spain, a divided country on the brink of political chaos, its main character is Antonia (played by Velilla), a young investigative journalist who, by chance, stumbles upon a conspiracy that was cooked up decades ago: she learns of the existence of a cryogenically frozen super-agent, García (Ortiz), who was created in a laboratory in the 1950s by Franco’s secret services. He’s a perfect soldier with superhuman strength, programmed to obey orders without ever questioning them, and the woman has just woken him up after six decades on ice. However, García feels disorientated and confused in a Spain he discovers has changed completely. The old world clashes with the new, while they both learn to work together when they become embroiled in a political conspiracy that threatens to bring democracy tumbling down in favour of a new dictatorship.

Pray, Obey, Kill revisits a complex Swedish murder case from 2004 that gained global attention.

WarnerMedia has appointed Annelies Sitvast to the newly created role of head of unscripted production in EMEA.

Based in Amsterdam, Sitvast will commission unscripted programming for streaming service HBO Max as it rolls out in the region. She will report to Antony Root, head of original production for WarnerMedia EMEA.
Sitvast will join the company in May, having most recently been head of Dutch commercial channel Net 5, part of the Talpa Network.
In this role, she served as commissioning editor, overseeing content strategy and brand development, including all original programming, production and scheduling.
Prior to this, Sitvast was channel coordinator at Net 5, where she oversaw programming and supervised local productions. Before joining Net 5, Sitvast spent seven years at SBS Broadcasting as senior acquisitions executive, working on acquisition strategies and advising on brand positioning, content selections and series/slate development for several Dutch TV
