Commissioners approve court fund transfer

The Darke County Board of Commissioners approved a transfer of $140,000 of court funds with an eye to purchase a local business in downtown Greenville. The court wishes to turn the building into a center to conduct work-release classes and other life-building skills for ex-convicts. The board, though releasing the funds, does not express approval of the plan.

The meeting began with the approval of a memorandum of understanding between Darke Co. Auditor Carol Ginn, and the Darke Co. Board of Developmental Disabilities. GREENVILLE The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Monday afternoon to discuss facilities management, the prosecutor’s office, and the Darke County Airport. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall, and Larry Holmes were all present.
Rick Lee, Darke County Facilities and Safety Manager, presented price quotes for P2P (Point to Point) systems reconfiguring the VAV box controllers at the Darke County Job and Family Services building. The total for all repairs is $7,585 and is scheduled to be completed within 30 days. The motion was approved.
